upwards and forwards- super pick of the month-PWN

Potash West NL (Potash West) focuses on potash mining projects. They have mineral tenements  situated in the Perth Basin and the company has also acquired certain rights to glauconite and phosphate minerals within the mineral tenements. We also place value on speculators comment that this company has valuable intellectual property. with it developing a “commercially viable processing system” for processing glauconite- to fertiliser production, with it also lodging a world patent application for this process.

Potash West is undertaking a A$3.1M capital raising that will, if successful, provide sufficient funding to move its Dandaragan Trough project – believed to be the world’s largest known glauconite deposit – through feasibility.

If you believe, in there being a increasing demand for food (and thus fertilizer) its a good pick , but unfortunately those are not the only factors for a company to be successful, but with a good management  and enough funding  this stock can do well with its current valuation

Asx announcement : 18 February 2013

Historically Australia has always been deficient in known resources of potash but ongoing exploration has led to recent published resources for some deposits such as Lake Disappointment, Lake Chandler and Dandaragan Trough/Dinner Hill deposit in Western Australia (WA), in the WA/Northern Territory (NT) portion of Lake MacKay, and in the Karinga Creek Salt Lakes area in southern NT

The Perth Basin Potash Project consists of the right to explore for potash and phosphate within five exploration licenses (ELs’) and six applications for ELs (ELAs’) and contains 11 tenements and tenement applications located between 50 and 230 kilometres north of Perth.

DIG‎ - Digital Performance Group Ltd (ASX)‎

What is Affiliate marketing ?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer. The market has grown in complexity, resulting in the emergence of a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third party vendors.

Simple definition : “Affiliate Marketing is promoting other people’s (Company’s) product and earning a commission in return (If a sale is made).”

I  an a part time home trader  and the bank provided trading platforms work for me well.

Comsec trading platform New features

I  have now been trading  for a while on comsec  with their new upgraded platform and it definitely is much better for home traders , even though a bit slower. I discovered a nifty little  link today , i was surprised when i clicked on Position in the market ( under shared orders/ Manage orders) that it actually shows  where  my  trade is in the line  and how many before me in the line before my trade can be possibly executed.

I am quite pleased with this feature  and will be using is much more often to check my trades..I put in a trade for AGO today @ 1.53 buy so lets see what happens

Here is the pic below showing my trade waiting in the line. now i wish the people catching the 69  Bus number as well was so  tardy  and stick to the rules and formed a line.

APS Australian Stock Portfolio

We been slacking off fro some time with our live portfolio , due to the downturn in markets , GFC Floods, Storms  , Droughts and doom and gloom in the markets and the US And EUROPE CRISIS. These seem to be everyone’s excuse  nowadays for their woes and failures  so we though we might as well use it .Off course there are always genuine affected parties, but we will leave that for another time. Lets focus on now.

Our live Australia Portfolio 2012/2013

WE are optimists and  while everybody i holding to their cash  or stuffing their bank accounts with  loads of cash like  they were Santa filling up stockings we will do exactly the opposite WE WILL SPEND ON SOME STOCKS.

Uzbekistan Biggest gas reserve is known as “The door to hell”

May 21st, 2012 by Penny Stock Reporter 1 comment »

The Locals in Uzbekistan call this  “The Door to Hell”. It is situated near the small town of Darvaz. in uzbekistan. The story of this place now lasts already for  a long 35 years.

The story of “door to hell” starts in 1971 with a Russian team of geologists in the search for natural gas. Once the geologists were drilling for gas, suddenly during the drilling they found an underground cavern, it was so big that all of the drilling site with  the equipment and camps slipped deep deep under the ground. None dared to go down there because the cavern was filled with gas.

The door to hell in uzbekistan

They came up with a plan, so that no poisonous gas could come out of the hole and so decided to ignite it , and since then, it’s burning, for 35 years without any pause. Nobody knows how many tons of  gas has been burned all these years but it just seems to be a infinite  supply there. Here is a video of the Door to hell

Video of Door to hell In uzbekistan

Imagine the  gas that could have been mined if  some company managed to put  a lid on it  and started piping the gas for export. The gates of hell could have rned into “the gates of heaven” for somebody

The other gates of hell – The Gates of Hell (French: ”La Porte de l’Enfer”) is a monumental sculptural group work by French artist Auguste Rodin that depicts a scene from "The Inferno", the first section ofDante Alighieri‘s Divine Comedy.

Pick of the month : Amcom telecom

February 25th, 2012 by Penny Stock Reporter 3 comments »

Hartley’s have recommended accumulate on “Amcom Telecom”  today  in the West Australian and  we are happy to back  them up on this position or even go so far as to recommend “Buy”.  Amcom is rapidly expanding into IT Solutions  as well in addition to their internet services already being provided  to a large base of  personal and business customers.  Their foray into IT solutions includes wide range of advanced business services, including Video Conferencing, IP Telephony, SIP Trunks, Voice (ISDN), Colocation facilities, Data Applications, Disaster Recovery and Internet services. Their new focus on IT solutions  as part of the L7 Services  can be found on this website http://www.l7.com.au/

amcom telecom Ipo Perth australia Fibre NBN

Internet and Data services provider Amcom Telecom

The company is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: AMM)

Currently trading around  :  AUD $ 1.010 (Accumulate , Buy )

Company Name: Amcom Telecommunications Limited

Website: www.amcom.com.au

AMM´s 2012 growth strategy is focused on client acquisition for its fibre network and the uptake of additional products from its existing client database and leveraging new products from its new IT solutions L7 services.

Amcom  as part of  its services also have a “Dark Fibre service”. Dark Fibre is an optimum solution for very high-speed data applications, such as real-time data replication. The Amcom Dark Fibre service is an unlit, point-to-point optical fibre link. It allows you to manage your own network, operate your own terminating equipment and manage the applications that use the network.

Amcom Telecommunications reported NPAT up 50% to $25.85m for the year ended 30 June 2011. Revenues from ordinary activities were $87.19m, up 38% from last year. Diluted EPS was 3.55 cents compared to 2.70 cents last year

Although the company’s fibre business for corporate, government and telco customers performed well, its residential broadband business, Amnet, suffered a 7 per cent decline in revenue from $12.2 million to $11.3 million in 2010 . TPG TELECOM are one of its competitors in the Internet services providing market that  we would possibly take a punt on.

Amcom Telecommunications (ASX: AMM) has lifted its net profit after tax (from wholly-owned operation and before one-off items) by 20 percent to $8.4m for the six months to 31 December.

The company said: "The material uplift in earnings was achieved following strong organic sales growth from Amcom’s core fibre-based communications services and expanding business services offerings."

The company also recently scored a major $9 million cloud deal with the University of Western Australia to provide hosted servers, storage and backup from its datacentres in Perth, with the hundreds of servers and over 400TB of storage connected to the university via Amcom’s 10-gigabit fibre network.

penny hopefuls still drag on in 2011

January 31st, 2012 by Penny Stock Reporter 1 comment »

If you are a David Haselhurst follower , you will be a bit disappointed with the  year ending result on his money magazine portfolio which ended in a –19.00% portfolio change for the calendar year ending. I do keep a watch on his penny hopefuls and do follow a few  of his punts  in my own portfolio , as i do admire his winning streak  punt for  penny stocks from previous years. The last couple of years with the US crash , Euro crash  there is still some weakness in the Australian stock market  which is also evident in the penny stocks  and the speculators portfolio.

speculator picks

His last pick in Oct. 2011 was Blackwood Corp  (BWD)  which was formerly “Matilda Minerals Limited” which was picked up at 0.23 and still remains at 0.23. You can get more details on Blackwood Corp here on their website.

Blackwood corp speculator CTP exco and david haselhurst

The Exco Resources Punt

David Haselhurst took a punt of EXCO Resources( EXS)  in June 2011 @ $0.615 which has since then taken a beating with the current price as of today being  $0.19. Exco resources has quite a few  tenements in its prospecting portfolio in Queensland and South Australia besides the one it sold to Xstrata , which could possibly generate more income for the company.

“Exco Resources Ltd” (ASX: EXS) is an ASX listed mining and exploration company that has been operating since 1998. It operates the White Dam Gold Mine and the Cloncurry Copper Project (CCP). The CCP was sold to Xstrata Copper for A$175M in June 2011, generating a significant return on equity and the Company subsequently returned A$135M (A$0.38/share) to its shareholders as a fully franked dividend and capital return.
