February 25th, 2012 by Penny Stock Reporter No comments »

Hartley’s have recommended accumulate on “Amcom Telecom”  today  in the West Australian and  we are happy to back  them up on this position or even go so far as to recommend “Buy”.  Amcom is rapidly expanding into IT Solutions  as well in addition to their internet services already being provided  to a large base of  personal and business customers.  Their foray into IT solutions includes wide range of advanced business services, including Video Conferencing, IP Telephony, SIP Trunks, Voice (ISDN), Colocation facilities, Data Applications, Disaster Recovery and Internet services. Their new focus on IT solutions  as part of the L7 Services  can be found on this website http://www.l7.com.au/

AMM´s 2012 growth strategy is focused on client acquisition for its fibre network and the uptake of additional products from its existing client database and leveraging new products from its new IT solutions L7 services.

penny hopefuls still drag on in 2011

January 31st, 2012 by Penny Stock Reporter 1 comment »

If you are a David Haselhurst follower , you will be a bit disappointed with the  year ending result on his money magazine portfolio which ended in a –19.00% portfolio change for the calendar year ending. I do keep a watch on his penny hopefuls and do follow a few  of his punts  in my own portfolio , as i do admire his winning streak  punt for  penny stocks from previous years. The last couple of years with the US crash , Euro crash  there is still some weakness in the Australian stock market  which is also evident in the penny stocks  and the speculators portfolio.

speculator picks

His last pick in Oct. 2011 was Blackwood Corp  (BWD)  which was formerly “Matilda Minerals Limited” which was picked up at 0.23 and still remains at 0.23. You can get more details on Blackwood Corp here on their website.

The Exco Resources Punt

David Haselhurst took a punt of EXCO Resources( EXS)  in June 2011 @ $0.615 which has since then taken a beating with the current price as of today being  $0.19. Exco resources has quite a few  tenements in its prospecting portfolio in Queensland and South Australia besides the one it sold to Xstrata , which could possibly generate more income for the company.

“Exco Resources Ltd” (ASX: EXS) is an ASX listed mining and exploration company that has been operating since 1998. It operates the White Dam Gold Mine and the Cloncurry Copper Project (CCP). The CCP was sold to Xstrata Copper for A$175M in June 2011, generating a significant return on equity and the Company subsequently returned A$135M (A$0.38/share) to its shareholders as a fully franked dividend and capital return.

You can hear a report of this onshore discovery of central petroleum over here.

If you check out the shareholders list , you can see  some very respected parties in the shareholders list  of central petroleum as below

Change in directors Interests In company

December 18th, 2011 by Penny Stock Reporter 1 comment »

Often a good way of getting hints  or then tips of which way a company is heading is to see what the company owners (Directors) or big shareholders are doing with their share of the stock they own. A listing of the stock that the company directors or the owners are buying or selling in the market is a good indication of  the future business prospects of the company.

A buy of massive stock or shares by the directors of the company, sometimes can indicate the  confidence of the directors in the future of the company, while  a sale of stock or shares  of the company can at times indicate that  the company  probably does not have that good future prospects . Though many a time a share sale or buy can be done for various other reasons and the stock watcher gotta be aware of all the other issues surrounding the company to make a informed judgement.

Did you invest in molybdenum miner ?

November 20th, 2011 by Penny Stock Reporter 1 comment »
Not much is known about this metal in the ground which is very scarce
around the world with only a handful of miners mining this resource in
a few countries. Molybdenum,is a metallic element used principally as
an alloying agentin steel, cast iron and superalloys to enhance
hardness, strength, toughness and corrosion resistance. Molybdenum
usage has doubled
in recent years and is expected to increase in demand due to its
superior versatility, low toxicity compared to mostmetals, and there
are few opportunities for its substitution.

Australian Molybdenum miners

  • Moly mines
  • Aussie Q Resources
  • Zamia Metals
  • Marengo’s Mining ( papa new guinea)
  • Dart Mining . NL
  • Kingsgate mines
  • Ivanhoe Mines
  • Metallic Minerals Limited’s
  • Thor Mining PLC
  • D’Aguilar Gold Limited’s
Molybdenite is widely used as a lubricant in high-temperature environments.
Molybdenum wire is used in electron tubes, and molybdenum electrodes are
used in glass furnaces. The major producers are the USA (Colorado
and Arizona),
China,Chile and Canada. Australia has just started mining molybdenum
resources which occur in New South Wales and WA.

Why molybdenum could be the next gold !!

#1 Molybdenum is essential to plant growth and animals as a component
of the enzymes nitrate reductase and
#2 molybdenum has the lowest abundance in the earths crust (other than
useless selenium) at 1ppm of the life giving metals
#3 molybdenum has the 6th highest melting point of all metals ,and the
highest melt point of life giving metals
#4 if i were leaving earth forever i would build the ship out of molybdenum
and grow hydroponic plants which need 13 elements (moly incl.)
#5 CHINA has high rates of esophageal cancer because of low
molybdenum amounts in their soil
#6 nuclear power is not leaving ,nor are pipelines ,we need Corrosion
resistant high moly % stainless steel
LUCKY #7 CHINA IS CALLING MOLYBDENUM A NATIONAL RESOURCE AND IS LIMITING
THE MINING OF MOLYBDENUM BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT IS MORE VALUABLE LEFT IN THEIR
MINES IN THE GROUND ,THEY WILL BUY EVERYONE ELSES AT LOW CHEAP PRICES NOW,
THEY WILL EXPLOIT. THE BIG NEWS ON HOW MUCH THEY WILL LIMIT THE MINNG OF
MOLYBDENUM IS DUE TO COME OUT IN 2011.

Molybdenum metal stone mining

Molybdenum was discovered in 1778 by Swedish chemist Carl Milhelm Scheele, and obtained its name from the Greek word molybos, meaning lead like. It is a silvery white, tough, malleable metal and most commonly occurs in nature as molybdenite (MoS2) and wulfenite (PbMoO4). It is an important trace element in soils for plant growth. The main commercial source of molybdenum is molybdenite (MoS2) but it is found also in minerals such as wulfenite (PbMoO4) and powellite (CaMoO4). Molybdenum is mined as a principal ore and is also recovered as a by-product or co-product of copper and tungsten mining.

Australia’s Economic Demonstrated Resources (EDR) of molybdenum rose from 225 kilotonne (kt) in 2008 to 276 kt in 2009. All the increase occurred at Ivanhoe Australia Ltd’s Merlin deposit in northwest Queensland (Qld). Western Australia (WA) has Australia’s largest molybdenum EDR with about 79%, followed by Qld with 19% with the remainder in the Northern Territory (NT) and New South Wales (NSW).( Ref Australian Mine atlas ). China has the world’s largest molybdenum reserves, but in 2005, peasants in Hubei blamed molybdenum mines for poisoning the Chaoshui river. Rioters destroyed an estimated 200 molybdenum mines, crippling the world’s supplies.

Molybdenum in grapevines

Molybdenum (Mo), is a micronutrient involved in the conversion of nitrate nitrogen, taken up by the roots, into a form that the vine can use.  It is
also involved in enzymatic reactions essential for growth and reproduction in plants. Recent research indicated that molybdenum plays an important
role in: grapevine fruit set; seed formation; berry formation and development; and bunch yield. Merlot grapevines, in particular, have a critical need for adequate
molybdenum concentrations during flowering and reproduction for seed formation and bunch yield

Buying gold on the Australian stockmarket is pretty easy. there are many options  to buy physical gold without atually going to a s shop . One of the options is  the listing of “gold”on the Australian stock market.

Uzbekistan Biggest gas reserve is known as “The door to hell”

June 16th, 2011 by Penny Stock Reporter No comments »

The Locals in Uzbekistan call this  “The Door to Hell”. It is situated near the small town of Darvaz. in uzbekistan. The story of this place now lasts already for  a long 35 years.

The story of “door to hell” starts in 1971 with a Russian team of geologists in the search for natural gas. Once the geologists were drilling for gas, suddenly during the drilling they found an underground cavern, it was so big that all of the drilling site with  the equipment and camps slipped deep deep under the ground. None dared to go down there because the cavern was filled with gas.

The door to hell in uzbekistan

They came up with a plan, so that no poisonous gas could come out of the hole and so decided to ignite it , and since then, it’s burning, for 35 years without any pause. Nobody knows how many tons of  gas has been burned all these years but it just seems to be a infinite  supply there. Here is a video of the Door to hell

Video of Door to hell In uzbekistan

Imagine the  gas that could have been mined if  some company managed to put  a lid on it  and started piping the gas for export. The gates of hell could have rned into “the gates of heaven” for somebody

The other gates of hell – The Gates of Hell (French: ”La Porte de l’Enfer”) is a monumental sculptural group work by French artist Auguste Rodin that depicts a scene from "The Inferno", the first section ofDante Alighieri‘s Divine Comedy.

Oswals empire Bring in the bidders for “burrup fertilisers”

May 31st, 2011 by Penny Stock Reporter No comments »

Burrup, whose main shareholder is the Oswal Group of India, went into receivership last year, owing more than $800 million to ANZ Bank, according to local media. The oswals company that went into receivership “Burrup fertilizers” have got a strong interest from bidders. Ths oswals who departed australia around the time the news of the receivership broke out for Burrup fetilisers  are now living in the middle east pursuing new business interests. The oswals claimed that ANZ, PPB and his former Burrup Fertilisers partner Yara were "colluding" to force him to sell his shares in the plant at "rock bottom price". Results of the bidding process could shed some light  on this accusations.

Companies which submitted bids included conglomerate Wesfarmers , Orica and Incitec Pivot , a source familiar with the matter said. China state-owned fertiliser group Sinofert and Egypt’s Orascom Construction had also taken a look, according to sources.
